Ice Smash Climb · Ice climbing game

Ice Smash Climb brings back the 1980s console classic where you smash the ice over your head and climb a snowy mountain floor by floor. A little penguin with a wooden mallet jumps up, breaks the brick above, and climbs through the hole; seals push ice blocks to fill the holes again, skuas swoop, icicles drop, and a polar bear in sunglasses pushes the screen up if you wait too long. 24 levels in four worlds add something new — thick ice, icicles, slippery ice and gusts of wind — and each world ends with the Frost Bear King. At the top, hop the drifting clouds and grab the golden eagle. Free to play online on phone or computer, no download.

How to play

  1. Slide your thumb left or right anywhere on the screen to walk (hold it there to keep walking), and flick up to jump without lifting it; a tap jumps on the spot. On a computer, use ← → and Space.
  2. Jump under a brick to smash it with your mallet, then jump through the hole to the floor above. Rock never breaks; thick ice takes two hits. Reach floor 8 to reach the summit.
  3. Your mallet swings by itself at a seal or bird right in front of you; turn to face them. Hit the block a seal is pushing and it slides off, knocking down every seal in its way.
  4. The last level of each world has the Frost Bear King on the top floor: break the three bricks under its feet from below to make it fall, up to three times, to chase it off.

FAQ

How do I score more?
Climb fast: each new floor within 3 seconds of the last raises the climb bonus up to ×5, so smash the holes above ahead of time and go up in one go. Bowl seals with their own blocks, grab every snack and the eagle at the summit, and reach the top quickly for the speed bonus.
How do the levels and stars work?
There are 24 levels in four worlds. Each level is one mountain: reach the top for a star, reach it within the target time for a second and catch the golden eagle for the third; a level opens the next. You have three lives a level: a seal, a bird, a falling icicle or a snowball takes one, and so does falling off the bottom of the screen; with none left, try the level again. The leaderboard adds up your best score on every level.
