Gold Dig Runner is the classic 1980s dig-and-trap puzzle game, in a buried ancient city: lead a little mole with a headlamp up ladders and along ropes, dig holes to the left or right of your feet so the clay guards chasing you fall in, walk over their heads, collect every gold bar and climb the jade ladder that lights up to the way out. 36 hand-made levels in six worlds, each with something new: false floors, quick guards, teleport jars, a mender who patches your holes and fat generals who only fit in a double hole. How to play
- Hold your thumb anywhere and drag it the way you want to walk: left, right, or up and down a ladder. Let go and the mole stops. On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD.
- Tap the left half of the screen to dig the brick down-left of the mole, the right half to dig down-right (Z and X on a computer). A guard that walks over the hole falls in and is stuck for a moment; walk over its head.
- There is no jumping. To reach gold on a lower floor (or hanging in the air below you), dig the brick beside your feet and walk into the hole: you drop through it and take the gold on the way down.
- Holes grow back after four seconds: a guard still inside is buried and re-forms at a kiln, but if you are inside, you are buried too. Take every gold bar and the jade ladder appears: climb it out of the top.

- How do I get three stars?
- One star for clearing the level, one for clearing it within its target time (the hourglass at the top), and one for picking up the level’s jade gem, which is always somewhere a little out of the way.
- How do I score more?
- Bury guards (lure several into a row of holes and bury them together for double and triple points), walk over their heads, take the jade gem and clear the level fast: every second under the target time adds points. The leaderboard adds up your best score on every level.
- Is Gold Dig Runner free?
