Honeycomb Spin is a hexagon rotation puzzle on a honeycomb board: tap the corner where three tiles meet and they spin round together. Three tiles of one colour that all touch, a tight triangle, clear away and new nectar falls in. Six of one colour round a tile bloom into a honeycomb flower, six flowers make a royal-jelly pearl, and six pearls crown the queen bee. Mind the hornets counting down on their tiles. How to play
- Touch near the corner where three tiles meet: they light up. Let go and they spin clockwise; swipe right for clockwise or left for anticlockwise. The round button at the bottom left sets the way a plain tap spins. On a computer, left click spins clockwise and right click anticlockwise.
- The three tiles keep turning until something clears, or all the way back round, which still spends the move. Only a tight triangle of one colour clears; a straight line of three does not.
- Ring six tiles of one colour round another to bloom a honeycomb flower; tap a flower to spin the six round it. Six flowers round a tile make a pearl, which spins a Y of three. Six pearls in a ring crown the queen: 50,000 points and a fresh board.
- From level 3 hornets ride in on new tiles, counting down one each move; clear them with their tile before they reach 0 and sting. Three stings end the game. Wax-sealed tiles from level 6 cannot spin until a match beside them melts the wax.
FAQ
- How do I score more?
- Make every move clear something: each one in a row raises the streak, up to ×3 on every point. Tiles that land in a new triangle cascade for ×2, ×3 and more. Bigger groups score far more than triangles, and flowers, pearls and the crown are worth the most.
- Is there a time limit?
- No: think as long as you like. Only the hornets count, and they count moves, not seconds. Leave part-way and the board is waiting for you next time.
